💙 For Pepaw's Smile 💙

This fundraiser is about family, healing, and giving a grieving father something to smile about on one of the hardest Father's Days of his life.

A few months ago, our family lost my brother to suicide. Since then, we have all been trying to navigate a grief that words cannot fully describe. While each of us is healing in our own way, I have watched my father carry a pain no parent should ever have to carry.

My dad is not someone who talks about his feelings. He doesn't openly discuss his grief, but those who love him can see it. We see it in the silence, in the sadness behind his smile, and in the way he quietly carries the weight of losing his son.

This year, Father's Day falls on my brother's 42nd birthday.

For the first time, my father will face a Father's Day without being able to call his son or celebrate his birthday. My heart breaks knowing there is nothing I can do to change that.

What I can do is try to give him something positive to focus on.

My daughter, Jahnomie, turns 18 years old on June 16th. I am hoping to raise enough money to fly her home so she can spend Father's Day with her Pepaw and celebrate this important milestone surrounded by family.

My hope is that instead of spending Father's Day focused solely on loss, my father can spend the day making new memories with the granddaughter he loves so much.

This fundraiser is also an opportunity to raise awareness about suicide and the lasting impact it has on families. Suicide doesn't just affect one person—it leaves behind parents, children, siblings, grandparents, and friends who continue to carry that loss every day.
