After many years apart, my granddaughter, Anna, has finally come home. She was adopted as a child, and despite our family's efforts to remain connected and eventually reunite, we were unable to bring her back during her childhood. The years of separation were difficult for everyone involved, especially for a family that never stopped loving her or hoping for the day we would be together again.

Today, we are incredibly grateful that she is home, safe, and reconnecting with her family. As she prepares to graduate from high school, we have a unique opportunity to help her rebuild relationships with her immediate family members, many of whom she has never met or has not seen in years. These connections are important not only for her sense of identity and belonging but also for her future as she enters adulthood.

We are hoping to travel together before she begins college so that she can meet and spend time with her family. Unfortunately, I am retired and live on less than $1,000 per month. While I am doing everything I can to support both of us, the cost of travel and related expenses is beyond my financial means.
