My mom recently knocked on my door asking me for help. She had taken an airplane in a nightgown, hair matted to her head, toenails so long she could barely walk, skin pale and looked weak and frail. This is what happened in my sisters hands in Jacksonville Florida, NEGLECT, where she sat in a room with no interaction,communication, doctor appointments, or proper nourishment for a year. She had gone with her to meet her great grandbabies. Instead my sister spent her savings and the money from her social security. Well not even a couple days later I had to call a squad to get her to a hospital for congestive heart failure and to the nursing home for rehab to gain strength just to get around. So I am her care giver now and my apartment is on the second floor and I don't have enough space to accommodate her proper. Also my car broke down a week before she got here. I need help.
