For Andie’s Fight
Andie-Nate’s Angel
Two weeks ago, Andie was completely fine.
Healthy. Happy. Herself.
Then everything changed.
Out of nowhere, she developed an aggressive, metastatic lymphoma in her nasal passage. The tumor grew so fast it pushed into her brain. Within a week and a half, we went from searching for answers… to saying goodbye.
In that short time, Nate did everything he could—emergency visits, imaging, ICU care—trying to understand what was happening and give her a chance. Those efforts came with thousands of dollars in unexpected veterinary bills.
Trying to get answers came with a heavy cost. In less than two weeks, we were hit with thousands of dollars in emergency veterinary bills.
But this isn’t just about the bills.
It’s about her.

Her Final Moments
At 3:51 a.m., Nate got the call.
The doctor said Andie was stable—but neurologically inappropriate.
He needed to come in.
By 5:01 a.m., He was in the ICU with her.
They had made her a bed on the floor—soft, comfortable. Not a kennel. That mattered more than he could explain.
She was mostly unresponsive… until she heard his voice.
As soon as he walked in, her right eye opened. The left barely could. The tumor had already begun pressing into her brain.
He laid his head on hers—something they’d always done. Instead of licking, this was their way of “hugging.”
And even then… she found the strength to press her head back into his.
He told her she did a good job taking care of him.
That she didn’t have to stay here anymore.
That she could go home.
Not long after that… she did.
Before the doctor even returned, Andie passed peacefully—free, no longer in pain.

Who Andy Was
Andie was only 3½ years old. She was an intimidating Cane Corso, who had not a clue how intimidating she was.
She was strong, gentle, and full of love. Even in pain, the staff said she never became aggressive—something they often see in very sick dogs. She stayed cooperative, calm, and trusting all the way through.
That was her.
Nate truly believes she was an angel sent to get us through some of the hardest years of our lives.
And when it was time… she just needed permission to go home.

Why We’re Asking for Help
In just under two weeks, we accumulated thousands of dollars in emergency veterinary costs trying to save her.
If you’re able to help in any way, whether through donating or sharing, we’re incredibly grateful.
Most of all, thank you for taking the time to read about Andie.
She deserved to be known.
