I am raising funds for Piglet for her BOAS surgery. I was given Piglet last year unaware of her medical problems. I was in a very traumatic accident where I was run over, which resulted as a hit and Run. It has been a long recovery process, I had lost my dog unexpectedly a month after my accident, while I was still hospitalized and recuperating from multiple surgeries, the was back in August of 2024. I was given Piglet last May. She has been well cared for, and has been continually vaccinated, spayed. Vet diagnosed her with BOAS last May. But never really discussed treatment plans or surgery, vet was not proactive . Piglet has been a constant companion for me, through the last year of my hospitalizations, and medical complications. I want to to extend her quality of life, and give her the life she deserves! There was nothing I could do to save my last dog while I was hospitalized, and recovering just trying to survive my surgeries. My last dog went into shock, and had an aneurysm, from the stress from being away from me. I feel like I have a second chance with Piglet, and have to try my absolute hardest! Piglet has an elongated palate, she has a lot of extra tissue in the back of her throat that makes it difficult to breath. Her Boas surgery would cover nares resection, elongated palate, and possible removal of Laryngeal Saccules. Any help with be forever appreciated❤️
