For 5 years, our greatest hope has been to grow our family. After walking through infertility, pregnancy loss, and many unexpected turns, we have continued to trust that God has a plan for our lives and for the child He may one day place in our family.

Recently, we were presented with an unexpected private adoption opportunity. An expectant mother is considering placing her baby with our family, and if this adoption moves forward, we could be welcoming a child into our home in just a matter of weeks.

While there are still important medical, legal, and adoption steps ahead, we are prayerfully moving forward and preparing as though this child may soon become part of our family. We are incredibly hopeful, but we also know that private interstate adoptions move quickly and require significant financial resources in a short period of time.

Many people are surprised to learn that private interstate adoptions often cost up to $50,000 or more. Expenses can include adoption attorneys, legal filings, interstate adoption requirements, home study updates, travel, lodging, time away from work, and other necessary adoption-related costs that arise throughout the process.

Because this opportunity came unexpectedly and on a much shorter timeline than we ever anticipated, we are working now to prepare for the possibility of bringing this baby home. Our hope is that finances will never be the reason we are unable to say “yes” if this opportunity becomes a reality.

Most importantly, we ask for your prayers. Please pray for the expectant mother, for this baby, for wisdom and peace in the decisions ahead, and for everyone involved in this journey. We believe every child deserves to be loved, cherished, and given every opportunity to thrive.
