To say our lives have taken an unexpected turn in the last couple of weeks is an understatement! 

Through mutual friends, we were connected with a young woman whose life had recently been turned upside down. After weeks of believing she was dealing with stomach issues, she learned that she was 27 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. 

As she began processing this news and considering what would be best for her son, she made the difficult and selfless decision to pursue adoption. Over the past couple of weeks, we have had the opportunity to get to know her, hear her heart for this little boy, and walk alongside her as she makes these decisions.

She and the baby's father both recognize that they are not in a position to provide the stability and resources they want for their son. Their hope is to place him in a home where he will be deeply loved, supported, and given every opportunity to thrive. We are both humbled and very honored they are asking us to adopt their baby.

This opportunity has come into our lives very quickly, and because the pregnancy was discovered so late, the adoption process is moving much faster than most. Many of the legal, medical, travel, and adoption expenses that families typically prepare for over many months are now arriving within a matter of weeks.

The expected cost of this adoption is well over $50,000. While the financial need is significant, we are moving forward in faith and trusting God to provide each step of the way.
