A Wife's Plea for Help

I never imagined I would have to write something like this.

My husband, Eric Horridge, has spent his entire life working hard and taking care of everyone around him. He has always been the person others could depend on, and no matter how difficult life became, he never stopped showing up every single day.

Over the past several years, our family has been under tremendous financial strain. The industry he has dedicated his life to has been devastated, making it nearly impossible to obtain the quality materials needed to continue working. Even as the pressure mounted, Eric refused to give up because he cared deeply about his customers, our family, and keeping a roof over our heads.

The stress became overwhelming.

After making the heartbreaking decision to put our home up for sale in an attempt to save our family from financial ruin, Eric was standing in our garage talking to our children. He was apologizing to them and telling them how hard he was trying to save everything we had worked our entire lives to build.

Moments later, he collapsed.

I rushed him to the hospital, where we learned he had suffered a mild stroke. Shortly after, he was taken into emergency life-saving surgery.

Today, while Eric is fighting to recover, our family is fighting to survive. We are financially devastated. Our business is falling apart, we are at risk of losing our home, and we are facing the possibility of losing everything we have spent decades building.

As his wife, this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, but I am asking for help.
