Veteran Building a Prototype
I was born in Cameroon-Africa, move to the US in 2000. In 2011, I joined the US Army where I served 14 Years including 3 deployments. In 2015, I was put on medical retirement by the Army. I enrolled in University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where and got involved in the Student Startup Challenge where I perfected the Lean Vertical Organizer (LeanVO) concept. In November 2016, I founded LeanServ and created the Milwaukee Lean Enterprise meetup(MLE) that currently has almost 400 members.
LeanVO is a LeanServ brand and product that is practical, efficient, and elegant. It is the most Innovative, flexible, modular and adaptive solution for organizing accessories such as shoes, socks, belts, Jewelries, etc... The two main components are Extruded Rails and Perforated Wall plates. LeanVO uses space most efficiently through a combination of clips, hooks, shelves, and standoffs to organize different accessories in any shape size. These secondary accessories are inserted on the wall plate that is attached to a vertical wall and are used to hold shoes, belts, jewelries and the likes. The process is repeated horizontally to suit user's needs. User is able to reconfigure the accessories display in ways that fit their space as changing needs. We anticipate LeanVO to be portable because users will be able to dismount the entire system and reuse it elsewhere.
Part of the loan with be used toward the realization of our Lean Vertical Organizer (LeanVO), an innovative accessory organizer that we invented. A provisional patent application has been filed. I will build LeanVO's landing page with images from 3D renderings that we currently have to showcase its features, and share the product realization progress with subscribers. I will use $2,430 to fund the LeanVO functional prototype and $17,500 to fund the operational prototype.
I created a LinkedIn page for LeanVO and anyone interested can view the concept by clicking the link below:
