❤️ Help Roo Fight IVDD
Hi everyone, and thank you for taking a moment to read our story.
My dog Roo — an incredibly energetic, loving, and joyful part of my life — is currently battling Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). This came out of nowhere. No signs of discomfort or weakness. Went to sleep as normal next to me on a Sunday night. Monday morning, he woke up paralyzed in his back legs.
Roo now urgently needs medical treatment to relieve his pain and give him the best chance at a full recovery.
🐾 What Roo Is Facing
IVDD is a painful and potentially life-changing condition that affects the spine and can lead to weakness, mobility loss, or even paralysis. The treatments needed — including diagnostic imaging, medication, surgery if required, and follow-up rehab — are expensive, and the costs add up quickly. I have tried myself to provide for him as best as I could but I have reached my limit of what I can do without going into further debt.
💛 Why This Means So Much
Roo is more than just a pet…
He’s family.
He’s my companion, my comfort on hard days, and the bright, bouncing little soul who brings energy and love into every space he enters. Seeing him unable to move like he used to has been heartbreaking, but I’m determined to fight for him the way he’s always shown love to us.
💵 How Your Support Helps
Your donation will go directly toward Roo’s medical needs, including:
- Diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT, X-rays)
- Medical management or surgery, depending on the treatment plan
- Hospital stays and medications
- Physical therapy and rehabilitation
- Recovery tools and follow-up visits
Our goal is $8,000, which covers Roo’s expected treatment and recovery costs. Every contribution — no matter the amount — brings us closer to getting Roo back on his paws and living the active, happy life he loves.
🙏 Thank You
Thank you for reading, sharing, donating, and supporting Roo during this difficult time. Your help means the world to me, and it gives Roo a real chance at healing and walking comfortably again. I’ll be posting updates as we move through this journey.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you for helping Roo get the care he needs. 🐶💛
