FreeFunder has never taken a platform fee, and instead relies on optional donations in order to operate our free site. Payment processing used to be an unavoidable cost, but now with our Really, Truly Free Personal Crowdfunding you can completely avoid these fees if you and your donors decide to use Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp to send and receive off-platform donations.

If your donors wish to use debit or credit card through Stripe, the standard payment processing fees of 2.9% + $0.30 are deducted from the donation amount.
