1mom 2 Lil ladies need he

My Name is Roberta,

am a victim of childhood abuse my life path. I chose to not let it affect me watched my mother spend her life on the system. I promised myself if I needed it ok however, once I changed the circumstances I would not use it and have done so.

I recently lost my job with the railroad, my unemployment benefits through the railroad retirement board were exhausted. Union is fighting for my job meanwhile I am trying to get my health and insurance license to secure income . I am a single mother of 2 teen girls and have my 3 fur babies. When I went to apply for assistance using my unemployment for income making $890 every 2 weeks and my rent being 1675 plus utilizes inwas getting behind on rent. My income from rrb only allowed me to get 123 in snap benefits not eligible for cash aid because my income was to high, disqualified from cal works and welfare to work for the reason i got a raise in rrb benifits to 940 every 2 weeks. Reported the change and because of that my snap benefitswere cut to $88. Exhaustion of unemployment qualified me for calworks and I thought rental assistance so I would not be evicted/prevention of homelessness with my kids and pets. What I got was we would have paid arrears but because you have no job we can't help cause but have no way of paying the next months.. odds are thatbwould have allowed me to finish licensing so the the hired me can start to pay me. In other words if you have a job and being a working class citizen that if I needed help I make to much to get it but if imbabout to be homeless because I lost my job and my unemployment was exhausted now you can't help me because I dont have a job. Make it make sense. My landlord has been amazing with the rental company but I understand because I'm unable to catch up the have a life and business to run.

My issue is im a Hispanic woman i have worked for all i have. This has been the most devastating part of my life after leaving a narcissistic relationship and to know if I need help im supposed to reac out. h only to be turned away. Call 211 to be told sorry we have no funds to help except for veterans and parolees. I had to fight to prove my worth working at the railroad daily, had to do work alone that 2 or 3 men should do and I did 9t and surpassed expectation. Now i have to prove i need help and I do only to be told we can't help cause you don't have a job nothing they can do. If I commit a crime go to prison get out in the world I can ask for help and have it readily available but a single mother doesn't qualify for. My faith is in God stands strong I have applied for grants , government assistance even asked family. Indont want to fail my children its been a series of unfortunate events. Mybgirls and dogs have been whatvhas kept me going. My heartb aches because I was soing fine a year ago and now I face the possibility of being homeless and breaking up our family because imybgirls deserve to be comfortable right now I'm working on my life and health insurance license indont want to disrupt their life with school. I thank all in advance for kindness and understanding. This was my last resort and it's eating me up.Be blessed and thank you again
