We Are Clean for Kids - A Water Solution from Kids to Kids.

CLEAN FOR KIDS purpose is to install a water filtration unit in each of the local schools in Manabi, Ecuador. This system will ensure that the schools and the kids in the community have access to safe drinking water and sanitation.

Before the earthquake, the school relied solely on water from the municipality. However, the quality of this water was unreliable and often compromised. After the 7.8-magnitude quake hit Ecuador on April 16, 2016, the city's water supply was damaged. So, the schools facilities were not able to Provide adequate water.

When Clean for Kids identified the urgent need for a clean water supply at Manabi schools, we began to determine the best way to help. After considering the options, we decided the create a water filter system .

This system unit will directly impact some 600 kids daily at schools as well as provide clean water to the community. The kids will benefit the portable water every day. Many of families could not afford to buy bottled water even under normal circumstances much less in the aftermath of the earthquake. Because of this, they were often forced to drink contaminated water.

The Manabi kids will all benefit from installing the water

filter system because we use natural resources that are readily accessible. Kids will have access to trusted water source that is reliable and accessible, and it will benefit their schools for years to come.
