Hi, my name is Aiyana Perez and I am 17 years old. On February 17th, 2017 I will be 12 years free of the monster who once controlled me. At the age of 5, I was diagnosed with (AML) Acute Myeloid Leukemia. My family and friends were devastated. Throughout my whole battle with cancer, my parents and I greatly appreciated the financial help that went along with all of the doctors hard work! Thanks to the 4 diamonds fund, I was able to get my treatments that I needed to live, we were able to keep our house, and have money for food and gas for daily transport of my siblings and family. And to this day, the medications I take to try and make my weak and brittle bones stronger due to chemotherapy. All medicines I take cost about $1500 and we don't pay a penny. THAT IS AMAZING. Many people know of the worldwide THON that is a 46 hour dance-a-THON to raise money for the 4 diamonds fund whom raises money for childhood cancer. The dancers at THON, cannot SIT OR SLEEP for 46 hours straight. So, my school holds a MINI-THON which is a 12 hour dance a THON to go towards the big 46 hour THON. I would greatly appreciate if you could donate any amount of money to such an incredible cause. I have known so many people effected by such a horrible disease. I may have a billion side effects and live in pain, but guess what I'm still here and am able to help raise money and awareness to such a WONDERFUL cause.
