We are Phil & Patty Luther and live in Puyallup, WA and are retired.  We live on an extremely 'fixed' income yet have been providing housing, food, medical, and school fees for this small family of three boys.  Their parents were killed in an auto accident in The Gambia (West Africa) 4 year ago so the eldest son, Ebrima, provided for his family.  When we became unofficial foster grandparents to them, they were close to losing their home, no food, and Ebrima could not finish his final year of high school.  Ebrima is now preparing for his final exams and graduation next month and his School Master believes Ebrima is prepared and recommends he attend College. His favorite subject is English and loves football (soccer in the U.S.).  His tuition is nominal compared to U.S. Universities.  His college tuition is $1,250.00 for a year and based on the standard 4 year curriculum would be $5,000.00.  Ebrima would like to provide for his family on his own some day and a college education is required to obtain a job that would allow him to do this.
