Hello! 

My name is Marc and I am 24 years old. I've been hell bent on trying to teach myself Japanese and I've been making some real progress with the help and support of my family, friends, and coworkers. A few days ago I stumbled on a prime opportunity to fly to Japan for dirt cheap airfare (think about reasonably priced airfare round trip... and then subtract a bunch of money from that value). I've also managed to find reasonably priced accommodations in the heart of Tokyo for the duration of the stay. So far it is proving to be a decently priced trip.

BUT THEN,

I REALIZED...

Exploring the city of Tokyo is no simple task. It is a HUGE city and things can get super pricey. So why tackle such a feat on my own. Now I know I can't just be like "Hey, do you want to invest a few thousand dollars this April/May and just come fly to Tokyo with me for 10 days and we can figure out what to do together?" because more likely than not, it will not be feasible for 99.9% of the people I know. But, it wouldn't be absurd to ask "If you had one whole day in Tokyo, what would you do? What kind of food would you want to try? What kind of activities would you want to partake in? What questions would you ask? Which spots would you want to see? Do you want me to just recreate the entire movie of 'Lost in Translation' for you???" If a bunch of people respond then I'll have a few different unique activities to try

AND THEN....

I can document it in real time, and I can share it for your viewing pleasure. Maybe one day you'll be inspired to travel to Tokyo too! (that was a lot of "t" sounds). Or maybe just to inspire you to travel anywhere. 

So in conclusion:

Money is not the issue. If you would like to donate towards this trip out of love for me or because we're friends, or maybe we're not friends but you feel this weird desire to donate... or maybe you want me to do something really weird and out there and want to bribe me with money... than I would still be eternally grateful. You could also just share this post so that more people see it (although if they don't know me I see no reason why they would want to help me). 

Ideas are very much welcome and needed. You can post the ideas on facebook, message them to me, text me, email me, call me, leave notes on my car, punch me in the face and yell the idea to me, or whatever method of delivery you feel is most effective. 

Share with me your social media feeds (whether it be instagram, snapchat, facebook, and maybe even twitter if enough people request it) and I'll keep you in the loop with whatever I'm doing! If you leave me a special request on what you would like me to do I'll send out personal messages and photos of the locations and activities too.
