Saturday December 31, 2016 at 3:30pm, Taylor had a terrible accident, broke her jaw in three places (front and both sides). She chipped a couple of teeth in her mouth.  She was taken to the local hospital that is equipped to treat trauma patients. They assessed her and prepared for her to undergo surgery. Today, January 1, 2017 she had jaw surgery. They had to wire her mouth shut in order to fix her jaw. They also put a plate in the middle (basically where her chin is.) It's not decided yet if she's gonna need braces again, that'll be determined after three weeks. She can't eat solid foods for three weeks, only liquids that can easily go down her throat and be sipped through a straw. Right now, her whole body is pretty sore and she's in a lot of pain because of the intubation tube being in her throat and her jaw of course. 

Taylor is a senior in high school this year and also dual enrolled thru EFSC. She maintains A's / B's, was in the National Honor Society, part of SGA, an Anti-bullying group at school. She works part time at a grocery store and volunteers at the local SPCA. Taylor has a love for God, people, and life. She has been a blessing to many people including her nieces and nephew that she cares for routinely.  Taylor has a strong faith that God is in control. Prayers will always help. 

There is no timeframe yet as to when the work will be completed. She has a long painful road of recovery she will be out of work and needs help paying her cell phone (she can only communicate thru writing or texting), her car insurance, and gas money to and from doctors visits. Any amount would be appreciated to help this wonderful young lady in her time of need.
