Hey everyone my name is Nicole and i am a 32 yr old single mom of an amazeing 5yr old little boy Colton. But that's not all, i am a daughter, grandaughter, sister, and i try to be a friend to everyone I work as a CNA at a skilled nursing facility taking care of people when they need it the most and i genuinely enjoy it! When i was pregnant with colton i was diagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure) and was put on a medication that helps regulate that without that medication i am at risk of a stroke or a heart attack About 5 years ago I gave birth to my son at 28 weeks he had to spend about 3 months in the NICU about 3 weeks after having my son i was hospitalized with a pulmonary embolism in simple terms I had blood clots in my lungsI was given iv medication to help disolve the clots but when discharged I was put on a blood thinning medication since then I have been hospitalized numerous times with blood clots in my legs my lungs and my pelvis each time my medications adjusted or changed I am what they call a lifer I will always need these medications to keep me alive in the past year I have had some other health issues and procedures done that have left me hospitalized or kept me from working i have been very lucky in the past having insurance that has covered my past hospitalizations and prescriptions but currently I am uninsured and am scrambling to get back on my coverage which should happen soon in the meantime I have 6 perscriptions that I take 3 of which I would die without coincidently they are the most expensive and i have used up my free coupons and samples that I was able to get. I use a app on my phone that helps me find discounts but even with that and no steady income due to my health I find myself needing to ask my friends and family for help I mentioned my son earlier and how he was in the NICU I remember holding him for the first time and i begged him to fight to not ever give up and in return I would fight and never give up now i am not the only person he has we are both loved by many I have never asked for anything but for him to be loved and i love him and he deserves to have me by his side as he grows until my insurance kicks in i need help paying for my medications I understand if it is just not doable for you you have to take care of you and your families first but if you can anything will help i thank everyone who took the time to read this God bless!!
