Your friendly neighborhood Hair Wizard needs your help!

This has been a terrible year for so many of us, and I have not been immune to its chaos. A major surgery that kept me out of work for three weeks, two deaths of close friends, a traumatic divorce (is there any other kind?), and saying farewell to a cat that has been part of my life for the last three years- these have all left me financially and emotionally ragged. 

HAIRPARTY is the biggest love of my life, and she's in trouble, and so am I. She was always designed as part of integrated community, a place to provide affordable quality work to queers and weirdos, an avenue to volunteer services to queer youth and sex workers, as well as a way to make a living. She was not designed to ever make enough money to dig me out of an unexpected financial hole at the same time I lost my life partner and the second income that filled in the financial gaps in a city that is trying to price us all out. 

Before I do the worst thing, which is close her doors, (losing my own job, as well as ending the livelihood of my fellow Hair Wizard while he is in school full time and the supplementary income of the queer teen in my employ), and start the process of leaving town and moving in with my parents, I'm sucking it up and asking for your help. 

What I need? $2500. OOF. This amount will cover the back rent owed on the salon space, the very basics of supplies and upkeep to keep HAIRPARTY afloat, as well as pay the back bills that will allow me to keep my apartment while I make the much needed changes to move forward and make a sustainable life.
