SOPD New Technology Fund
We're fortunate that South Orange Police Department embraces new technologies to solve real-world problems. With technology changing incredibly quickly, there is ample room for upgrade opportunities, such as the use of a Flir camera.
Flir technology will help SOPD quickly find lost person in the reservation at night, find a burglar hiding in a dark backyard, scan a school exterior in case of a lock down and help the fire department locate hot zones within house fires.
$200 has already been contributed directly to the South Orange Police Station by Andre Preoteasa from a "21st Century Bake Sale" on September 9th, 2016 with the help of his wonderful 11 year old neighbor Emma Lorman. You can see pictures here.
This fundraiser is by a regular group of people who appreciate our excellent Police Department. Andre Preoteasa setup the website and the Bake Sale - he does not have a non-profit registered (if you want to help with that, please message me), so all donations are not tax deductible.
