Hi friends!

My name is Heather and I am starting this campaign to help a dear friend.

She doesn't know I am doing this but I can't stand by any longer watching her struggle. 

Melinda is a single parent, raising a sweet but mildly challenged 9 year old boy. She has him in a special school that focuses on his needs and he does very well.

She recently lost her job and is struggling to find another one that can work around her son's school schedule. 

She's been driving a 2004 Jeep with no heat. We have tried for weeks to get this car fixed by friends but no one can figure it out.

At this time she doesn't even have money for gas to run the car to diagnose any further problems. 

She is also behind on the car payment and we are scared it will get repossessed any day now.

 She doesn't have the money for rent or to pay any of her utilities. 

Melinda has been doing the best she can but keeps getting further and further behind.

The father of her child hasn't paid child support for 9 years and continues to evade the Friend of the Court. Her father is deceased and her mother has remarried and won't help her.

I am hoping I can help her through this campaign to get enough money to:

* Pay off her Jeep loan

* Purchase a reliable vehicle

* Purchase a new phone so she can effectively fill out resumes online

* Pay her rent for December and January 

* Pay her utilities 

* Pay for groceries
