A Chance at Motherhood

A Chance at Motherhood ❤️

Help Support My $25,000 IVF Journey

For as long as I can remember, becoming a mother has been one of the biggest dreams I’ve carried in my heart. It’s a dream I’ve prayed about, cried about, and held onto even during moments when I wasn’t sure it would ever become my reality.

Sharing my story publicly isn’t easy for me. I’ve always been the person who tries to figure things out on my own, the person who shows up for others, and the person who would rather give than ask for anything in return. But I’ve learned that sometimes even the strongest people need their village.

And today, I’m reaching out to mine. ❤️

My Journey Began Years Ago

When I was around 18 years old, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). At the time, I knew very little about what that diagnosis would mean for my future.

As the years passed, I learned that PCOS could make becoming pregnant more difficult. But even with that knowledge, I never completely let go of my dream of one day becoming a mother.

I’ve watched people around me announce pregnancies, celebrate baby showers, and welcome their beautiful babies into the world. And while I’ve genuinely celebrated those moments with them, there have been times when I’ve quietly wondered:

“God, when will it be my turn?”

What people don’t always see are the silent battles. The tears behind closed doors, the questions you ask yourself, and the pain of wanting something so badly without knowing whether you’ll ever get to experience it.

I’ve smiled through moments when my heart was hurting. I’ve celebrated blessings while silently praying for my own.

But through it all, I kept hoping.

The Day My Heart Broke 💔

In 2026, I decided to take the next steps toward my dream of motherhood. I began researching fertility clinics, attending consultations, undergoing bloodwork, completing medical testing, and trying to understand what options were available to me.

Then came the appointment that changed everything.

During an HSG procedure, I learned that both of my fallopian tubes were completely blocked and that IVF would be the path I would need to take to become pregnant.

I’ll never forget lying on that examination table and hearing those words.

The first thing that came to my mind was:

“Why me, Lord? Why does this have to be my story?”

I’ve always tried to be the person everyone can count on. The one who shows up, supports, encourages, and goes above and beyond for the people I love.

And somewhere deep in my heart, I believed that if I continued putting love and goodness into the world, life would somehow be kind to me in return. That the blessings I prayed so hard for would eventually find their way to me.

So hearing that news completely broke me.

When I walked out of that building, I broke down crying. I couldn’t hold it together anymore.

All I could think about was the possibility of never experiencing the things I’ve dreamed of for so long. Never carrying my own baby, never feeling those little kicks, never hearing someone call me Mommy.

I felt hurt, confused, defeated, and heartbroken.

For weeks afterward, I struggled emotionally. I kept replaying that appointment in my head, trying to understand why this was happening to me.

But eventually, I knew I couldn’t stay in that place of heartbreak forever.

Finding My Way Back to Faith 🙏🏽

After a few weeks of tears, questions, and emotional struggles, I had to find the strength to pick myself back up.

I had to wipe my tears and put my faith back in the Lord.

I reminded myself that just because my journey looks different doesn’t mean my dream has to end.

I don’t know what God’s plan is for me. I don’t know what tomorrow holds, and I know IVF doesn’t come with guarantees.

But I do believe that if motherhood is meant to be part of my story, I have to give myself the opportunity to try.

I walked into that appointment with a dream, walked out with a broken heart, but found my way back to faith.

My faith doesn’t mean I won’t have difficult days. It simply means that even through the heartbreak, I’m choosing to believe there is still hope.

And today, I’m choosing hope. I’m choosing faith. And most importantly, I’m choosing to fight for my dream of becoming a mother.

Why I’m Asking for Help ❤️

After researching my options, attending consultations, and carefully considering the next steps in my fertility journey, I’ve made the decision to move forward with IVF treatment.

Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover IVF, meaning I will have to pay for this journey out of pocket.

My fundraising goal is $25,000 to help cover expenses associated with IVF, including fertility procedures, medications, testing, monitoring appointments, travel, and other treatment-related costs.

This is not a small amount of money, and asking for financial support is something I’ve struggled with.

I’m so used to being the one who gives, the one who helps, and the one who makes sure everyone else is okay.

But now I’m learning that it’s okay to need help too.

I’m not asking anyone to carry this journey for me. I’m simply asking my village to help me take the next steps toward a dream I’ve carried in my heart for so many years.

Whether you can donate $5, $10, $20, or any amount, please know that every contribution means more to me than words could ever explain.

And if you’re unable to donate, sharing my fundraiser, keeping me in your prayers, or simply offering words of encouragement means just as much.

My Hope for Tomorrow 🌈

I know that IVF is not a guarantee of pregnancy. I know this journey may come with more appointments, more waiting, more emotional moments, and possibly more heartbreak.

But I also know that I don’t want to look back one day wondering what could have happened if I had just given myself the chance.

I want to be able to say that I tried. That I fought for my dream. That I held onto my faith even when the road ahead seemed impossible.

And hopefully, one day, I’ll be able to look back at this very page while holding the little blessing I prayed so hard for and say:

“We did it. My village helped make this possible.” 🥹❤️

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Thank you for every donation, every share, every prayer, and every encouraging word.

Thank you for helping me turn heartbreak into hope and giving me the opportunity to pursue my dream of motherhood.

With love, faith, and endless hope,

Tasha ❤️

One dream. One journey. One chance at motherhood.
