Hello, my name is Sherrie, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my family as we face one of the most difficult and heartbreaking seasons of our lives.

Right now, our family is going through an overwhelming immigration crisis that has turned our entire world upside down. We are fighting to keep our family together while navigating legal challenges, financial burdens, emotional stress, and uncertainty about what tomorrow may bring.

My husband came to the United States legally from Jamaica on a valid visa when he was just 10 years old. He has spent nearly his entire life here, built a family here, worked hard every day, and has been the sole provider for our household. He is not only the financial backbone of our family, but also a loving husband, devoted father, and the foundation that keeps us all standing.

Our family has recently experienced actions that we believe have deeply impacted our rights and placed an enormous burden on us emotionally and financially. Since this began, we have been forced to focus all of our energy and resources on legal fees, emergency expenses, transportation, household bills, and daily necessities while trying to stay strong for our children.

To make matters even more emotional, my father is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy. He served this country with pride, dedication, and sacrifice. He taught our family the values of resilience, hard work, loyalty, and never giving up during hard times. Watching our family struggle through this while carrying those same values has been incredibly painful, but we are continuing to fight.

This fundraiser is being created to help cover:

• Immigration attorney and legal fees
• Court and filing costs
• Household bills and rent/mortgage
• Transportation for family visits, appointments, and legal obligations
• Groceries and necessities for our children
• Emergency expenses during this crisis

We are humbly asking for help from anyone willing to support us during this time. No donation is too small, and even if you are unable to give financially, simply sharing our story, keeping our family in your prayers, and helping spread awareness would mean more than words can express.
