A Father's Fight

My name is Carlos Marmolejos, a 43-year-old father of two incredible children – a 12-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter. For the past 15 years, I've battled severe anxiety, epilepsy, and bipolar disorder, always striving to be the best father I can be. But lately, the battles have become overwhelming. My epilepsy sometimes causes unpredictable seizures, making it unsafe for me to drive, and my anxiety and bipolar disorder have made it nearly impossible to maintain the consistent schedule essential for my previous job as a rideshare driver. My doctors have discussed surgery to address a worsening issue related to my epilepsy, a procedure that could cost upwards of $130,000. That number echoes in my mind like a distant, unattainable dream. Instead, I'm desperately trying to manage my condition with intensive therapy and medication, hoping to reduce the frequency of my episodes and learn to better cope. Even with insurance, the cost of these life-sustaining medications is astronomical, estimated at $3,500 a year – a burden I can barely shoulder. This has forced me to leave my job, a job that, despite its challenges, was my lifeline. This loss of income has been devastating, leaving me feeling lost and terrified, facing the very real possibility of not being able to provide for my family. The weight of mounting medical bills, the constant worry about putting food on the table, and the fear of falling behind on rent and utilities have become an unbearable weight on my shoulders. I'm behind now, and the pressure is immense.

My children are my world. My son dreams of creating cutting-edge computer software, and my daughter is passionate about AI fashion design. They are bright, compassionate kids, full of potential, and the thought of their dreams fading away because of my circumstances is a pain I can barely describe. They deserve so much more. My children are incredibly supportive, but I can see the worry etched on their young faces, a worry no child should ever have to carry. I’ve always worked hard, always provided for them. Now, I find myself in a position I never imagined, needing help to bridge this incredibly difficult time. I'm reaching out, asking for your help, not just for me, but for my children, so that I won't have to ask again. As the saying goes, "Give a man a dollar, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." I'm not just asking for a handout; I'm asking for a hand up. I'm seeking the opportunity to learn and grow, to build a new, more sustainable future for my family, a future where I can provide for them again. I believe in the power of online income streams – and I'm particularly interested in learning about affiliate marketing and building a YouTube channel, as these seem like more manageable options for generating income from home, income I can manage even with my health challenges. I'm determined to learn these skills and create a more stable income for us. Despite this burden, this deterioration of my health, I have character. I am a charismatic person who loves to make people laugh and feel good in my presence. I believe in seeing the good in people, regardless of their background, and I try to live my life according to strong principles.

With your support, I can address our immediate needs. Our rent is $1,800 per month, and we typically spend around $1,000 on groceries. Beyond that, I desperately need help catching up on past due rent and utilities, a debt that hangs over my head like a dark cloud. My immediate goal is to raise $5,000 to cover the next three months of essential expenses and allow me to focus on my recovery, managing my medical needs, and learning these new skills. This will also allow me to invest in my education, seeking guidance from mentors and coaches on these online income strategies. And, most importantly, it will allow me to begin building a college fund for my children, a promise I made to them that I desperately want to keep. Every single dollar, every act of kindness, will bring us closer to that goal.

This isn't just about money; it's a fight for my family's future. It's about reclaiming my life, my independence, and showing my children that even in the face of seemingly insurmountable adversity, hope and resilience can prevail. It's about giving them the peace of mind knowing their dad is doing everything he can for them. Please, hear my cry for help. Even if you're unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing my story with your friends and family. Every share, every word of support, helps. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your compassion and understanding.

Sincerely,

Carlos Marmolejos
