Hi, my name is Melinda, and I’m starting over — completely — at 51 years old. Life has a way of throwing curveballs, and this past year has been one of the toughest yet. I’ve had two full knee replacement surgeries, and while I’m grateful to be walking again, it’s been a long road to recovery — physically, emotionally, and financially. Right now, I’m doing Amazon deliveries and rideshare gigs, pushing through the pain and doing my best to stay strong. But it’s been hard to make ends meet, and even harder to start over from scratch. When my daughter and 2-year-old grandson needed a stable home, I didn’t think twice — I gave them my apartment and everything in it. They needed a safe place, and a mother’s love always finds a way. But that meant I had to begin again with nothing of my own. Recently, a dear lifelong friend offered me a blessing that brought me to tears — he’s buying a home and allowing me to rent it from him so I can have a fresh start. I can’t describe how much that means to me. But before I can move in, I need a little extra help to make it happen. I’m raising funds to cover: First and last month’s rent ️ Furniture and essentials to make the space livable. I am also looking for new or gentle uses home goods This journey isn’t about giving up — it’s about starting over with faith and gratitude. I’ve always been the one to help others, and it’s humbling to ask for help now. But I believe that sometimes, we’re meant to lean on kindness while we rebuild our strength.
