I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a sincere request for help. My service dog, Buzz, who has been my constant companion, support, and friend, needs urgent surgery. Buzz is a sweet and loving all-black with white paws, an Austrian Shepherd mix with a poodle. He’s been by my side, through thick and thin. He’s full of energy, always up for a cuddle or watching TV together after a long day. His caring and joyful spirit has brightened my life in countless ways, and now he needs my help in return.

Buzz was born with a congenital liver issue called a portosystemic shunt. This condition affects his liver’s blood vessels and has required ongoing, expensive treatment. Unfortunately, his liver disease has led to more complications, and now Buzz is suffering from painful bladder stones. These stones are a result of his liver condition and can’t be treated with diet. He needs to undergo surgery, known as a cystotomy, to have the stones physically removed. The cost of this surgery is $4000, and it’s essential for Buzz’s well-being.

Recently, Buzz has started showing signs of severe dehydration, difficulty urinating, and frequent small amounts of blood in his urine, which is causing him a lot of pain and discomfort. His bladder is very irritated, and he’s having trouble just getting through the day. This surgery will give him the relief he desperately needs.

I’m reaching out to ask for help, as I simply can’t afford the surgery on my own. Buzz is more than just a service dog to me — he’s a loving, loyal friend, and I can’t imagine life without him by my side. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in helping me get him the care he needs.
