I am  doing this for a dear friend who just cannot catch a break. She has had a rough year with the pancreatic cancer diagnosis of her 11 year  fiancé and his resulting death. Her emergency funds were depleted upon paying funeral expenses, expenses related to the funeral/services, fuel/heat for the winter, monthly bills while she grieved and tried to keep the house afloat. She also had to put her mother (who she had been caring for for 5 years) in a long term care facility a couple months after her fiances death, further putting a strain on her emotionally.  She recently went back to work and her only vehicle decided to die on her. The motor is seized. She lives in a rural area with no access to public transportation. Without a vehicle she will lose her employment and eventually with no income her home as well. She is an amazing woman who would do anything for anyone. She was by her fiances side every moment of every day during his cancer battle, all while taking care of her mother as well. She has faced things nobody should ever have too, with strength, loyalty, dedication and courage. She deserves some good in her life and I'm hoping just this little gesture will put the light back in her eyes. She is discouraged and defeated and that is the opposite of everything she is.
