A Lifeline for Ashyra Rae

Reclaiming Our Life & and Protecting My Animals.

The Story

For the last 13 years, I have walked a spiritual path defined by integrity, independence, and a deep connection to the animals I serve. My life’s work has been dedicated to those who have no voice—taking in "hard to handle" horses that others gave up on and retraining them with patience and care. I have successfully brought many from the brink of a kill-pen to the heights of championship competition.

Today, I am the one fighting for survival.

For the last three years, after my home was stolen from me, I have been living off the grid in a state of constant survival. Home has been a field or the street, living out of my horse trailer with no running water, no heat, and no electricity. I have survived things I wasn’t supposed to, but I have reached a breaking point.

The Current Crisis

Recently, my vehicle broke down. In my world, a vehicle isn't a luxury—it is a life-support system. Without a working heavy-duty truck, I cannot haul the water my animals need, I cannot transport hay, and I have no way to evacuate my horses in an emergency. Being stranded has made an already difficult life almost impossible.

Why I Am Reaching Out

I believe in self-reliance and have stayed true to my spirit by refusing to depend on a system that does not align with my values. However, I have been unable to fight for what was stolen from me because I lacked the resources to do so. My name has been dragged through the dirt and my life upended, but I am ready to fight back.

My Goals for This Campaign:

Secure Legal Counsel: To finally hire the representation needed to reclaim my stolen home, clear my name, and seek justice for the last three years of displacement.

Repair or Replace My Vehicle: To secure a reliable 3/4 or 1-ton truck capable of hauling my horses, transporting life-sustaining supplies, and acting as our bridge to a new life.

A Place of Our Own: To provide immediate care for my dog, Nova, and my three horses, Grace, Boon, and Voodoo, while working toward securing a couple of acres (Irish acres) where we can live in peace and permanent safety.

I am trying to keep us together because we are all that we have. My animals have always come first, and I am determined to provide them with the home they deserve.

If you are able to donate, you are helping a dedicated trainer and her four-legged family reclaim their dignity and their future. If you cannot donate, please share our story.

With deep gratitude and faith,

Shayann Rae
