Hi everyone,

My name is Adriana, and I’m reaching out with humility and hope. I’m a dedicated mother, nursing student, and someone who has spent more than 10 years serving families in our community as a breastfeeding counselor and the last few years as a doula providing maternal support, encouragement, and education.

Over the past few months, my work hours have been significantly reduced due to school and clinical hours, which has made it extremely difficult to keep up with my regular household needs. I’ve been doing my best to stay afloat while caring for my children, balancing school, clinicals, community work, and running my small businesses. But even with all of my efforts, the gap has become unmanageable.

I’ve been trying to keep up with childcare costs of $350 per month, car note of $704 per month, along with everyday bills, but my income hasn’t been enough to cover everything. To make ends meet, I’ve had to rely on credit cards and family and friends just to pay for basic necessities for myself and my children. Now the balances and bills are stacking up faster than I can pay them down, and it’s been overwhelming trying to keep up with it all on my own.

I usually don’t like asking for help, but I do believe the sayings that “it takes a village” and “people make the world go around”. I’m raising funds to help pay down some small debts and essential bills so I can regain stability, continue caring for my family, and stay focused on finishing nursing school. Any amount, big or small, would truly make a difference and help me breathe a little easier during this difficult season.
