Aaron & His Little Ones

Hello! My son, Aaron, received unexpected news yesterday: his two young children were in the custody of the Department of Human Services, but have since been picked up by family members. Their mother, his ex-wife, is having her rights terminated. Aaron has a court date on July 1st to seek custody. This situation came as a complete shock to him; he is a devoted father, but his ex has intentionally kept him in the dark, preventing any contact since their separation. They are both in their thirties and have been together since they were just 14 years old. After many years, they finally welcomed children into their lives, but now the kids are still very young and vulnerable.

Since their split, Aaron has faced significant struggles with depression, emphasizing how profoundly he misses his children, not knowing where they were. As his mother, at 50 years old and living with my sister, I see the urgency in needing to provide a loving home for my son and his kids. He requires practical support—tools for work so that he can provide adequately for his family. Sadly, the children will arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs, necessitating a range of basic necessities as well.

We are all they have; Aaron, the children, and I are each other's only support. If Aaron doesn't succeed in this critical moment, my precious grandchildren risk being lost to the foster care system. Given their ages, securing suitable placements will be a challenge. The siblings share a very close bond, and I have complete faith in Aaron—not only as a grounded man but also as a fantastic father. Any assistance you can provide will immensely contribute to this cause. Rest assured, once we regain stability, we intend to pay this generosity forward.

Thank you, THE HOLMES FAMILY
