This lady has been through absolute hell! She was severely abused by a terribly abusive man, nearly murdered on several occasions, literally held captive, tied up, they bound her with duct tape & doused her with fuel & for the next couple days he kicked & beat her & walked around her with a torch lighter threatening to ignite her. This is just one example of countless ordeals she has suffered through. She was beaten repeatedly, nose broken, ribs broken, lungs punctured, raped, humiliated, controlled, belittled, isolated, & had every single thing she ever owned stolen from her as well. Finally she saw an opportunity, & through her unwavering faith in God, she mustered all the strength and courage she could, & made her escape. And though she has endured unimaginable loss, torture, and hatefulness, she is still somehow the kindest, bravest, most compassionate person I’ve ever met; full of love, faith, & determination. She deserves so much better than she’s gotten. It’s a miracle that she has endured & escaped with her life. But that escape has now left her homeless and with nothing. She is full of motivation & desires to become self sufficient, but the real fact is that she is going to have to have a bit of a hand up just to get on her feet. She has been offered a spot with full hook-ups if she can just acquire a decent camper. That’s what we are looking at as for housing right now. She will also need a car, a working phone, clothing, a job, etc. But first things first, we need to get her the basics so she can be safe & have that foundation so she can begin rebuilding her life.
