Our family is excited to share that Zoey has the opportunity to join an educational EF Tour to Costa Rica from April 17–25, 2027, a once‑in‑a‑lifetime chance for her to explore one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, grow her independence, and learn far beyond the classroom.

This trip is designed to help students step into the world with confidence. It blends environmental science, cultural immersion, and adventure-based learning, all things that fit Zoey perfectly. She’s curious, brave, compassionate, and ready for a challenge. We want to help her get there.

Why We’re Raising Funds

The total cost of the program, travel, and educational activities is significant, and we’re hoping to ease the financial burden by inviting friends and family, the people who know and love Zoey, to support her journey. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings her one step closer to this incredible experience.

What This Trip Will Teach Her

1. Environmental Science & Eco‑Tourism

Zoey will explore Costa Rica’s protected cloud forests, volcanic regions, and wildlife habitats. She’ll learn about:

• Cloud forest ecosystems - hiking through canopy reserves to study rare plants and animals
• Volcanic geology - visiting areas like Arenal to see geothermal activity up close
• Wildlife conservation - observing sloths, monkeys, and tropical birds in their natural environment

2. Cultural & Language Immersion

This trip encourages students to step into the heart of Costa Rican life:

• Experiencing authentic Pura Vida culture
• Visiting a local school for peer‑to‑peer exchange
• Touring coffee, chocolate, or sugarcane farms to learn about sustainable agriculture

3. Adventure & Team Building

To build confidence and resilience, Zoey will take part in:

• Ziplining through rainforest canopies
• Whitewater rafting or jungle hiking
• Group problem‑solving and leadership activities

These experiences help students grow in ways that stay with them for life.
