My dad, David, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in October, 2026. He was planning to fully retire at the end of this year already, so he had to wrap things up a little earlier than expected. Due to the seriousness of his diagnosis, the increasing cost of healthcare, and the expected intensity and duration of the treatment, we find ourselves facing financial limitations we could not have planned for given the circumstances of recent years.

We are seeking to raise funds to help cover the co-pays we are facing in Dad's care and the decreased capacity for me (David's daughter) to work enough hours to cover all of our shared household expenses. Robyn (David's other daughter) is planning to visit as she is able and supports as much as possible from a distance. David is facing 3-4 months of weekly medical appointments, potential surgery, and much that remains unclear yet. Our hope in asking for support s to navigate the winter months of treatment without placing additional burden on Lola and Melissa, who both continue working while coordinating schedules to manage David's care.
