Hi there! My name is Mya and I have been given the incredible opportunity to go to Africa this upcoming May for a missions trip! We are bringing a diverse team that is going to meet a diverse group of needs. I am so excited to see how God is going to move! I will be helping with supplying instruments to a church who does not have any, and equipping them on how to play!

I am absolutely infatuated with music. It is the place where God speaks to me the most. My secret place with God is not necessarily a landscape, but rather a song. We escape to the lyrics and lay in the melody together. There is no words that can properly convey how God meets and transforms me through music. I want other people to have the same opportunity to encounter God through music. I believe music can transcend language, connect people, and connect us to God. I am actually attending Belmont University to obtain my Bachelor's of Arts in Worship Leadership! All I want to do is lead people into his presence. I believe the Lord is calling me to be a music missionary to Africa. Serving people, teaching music, and being with Jesus sounds like an absolute dream! I want to bring the gospel through a melody. 

"Now wherever you go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit." Matthew 28:19

"So go ahead, everyone, and shout out your praises with joy! Break out of the box and let loose with the most joyous sound of praise! Sing your melody of praise to the Lord and make music like never before! Blow those trumpets and shofars! Shout with joyous triumph before King Yahweh!" Psalms 98:4-6

I would love it if you could partner with me as I break out of the box and make disciples of all nations by making music like never before! I would greatly appreciate your prayers. Not only for me as I go and do the work he has called me to do, but for the nation that I plan to minister in. Please pray that Jesus would be the loudest name known in Africa and that I would be a vessel for his voice. I would also appreciate any donation given towards this trip.
