Aid to Student Transition
I’m a student navigating a major life transition—living independently, continuing my education, and caring for an emotional support animal who helps me manage anxiety and stay emotionally regulated.
While I’ve secured tuition and housing through state assistance, I’m still facing a serious gap in daily living expenses. My ESA has a sensitive stomach and can’t tolerate commercial pet food, so I prepare her meals from scratch. I do the same for myself—not just because it’s more affordable, but because many processed foods cause me severe physical pain and health issues.
I’ve moved into an apartment that finally allows me to cook and care for both of us properly. But I don’t yet have reliable income. I’ve been actively applying to jobs and side gigs, but the market is competitive and slow-moving. Time is passing, and I need help now to bridge the gap until I can stabilize.
One of my biggest barriers is transportation. I experience intense anxiety when driving in traffic or unpredictable environments, and I’m working toward a vehicle that includes assisted driving features to help me stay safe and regulated. This isn’t about luxury—it’s about mental health and being able to move through the world without panic.
Your support will go directly toward:
- Groceries for clean, home-cooked meals that protect my health
- Ingredients and supplies for my ESA’s sensitive diet
- Transportation (vehicle purchase with assisted driving features)
- Occasional pet sitting during academic travel
- Basic living costs through the end of Fall 2025
If you’ve ever been in a season where you were doing everything right but still needed help to get through, I hope my story resonates. Thank you for your kindness and support.
