AJ Quetta Invitational

AJ Quetta is an 18 year old senior at Bishop Feehan HS.

Last month AJ was injured during a hockey game. He suffered a broken neck and the resulting injuries are going to present a lifetime of challenges.

The Massachusetts community, the global hockey communities, have both more than risen to the occasion to help one of their own.

Now we are going to try and do our part.

AJ was a teammate of my sons for the Walpole Express.

4 Massachusetts HS Hockey Teams will create, and participate in the 1st annual Quetta Invitational from March 5th to March 7th.

This will be a round-robin tournament, 3 15 minute periods, no ties. Referees and all needed personnel have been donated, along with ice time, by Rob Barletta.

There will be a 3-day auction that will be posted online with items from across the sports world as well as packages being donated by local as well as non-local businesses. The response has been swift and awesome.

There will be a skills competition prior to the championship game on Sunday and there will be a "Cup" awarded to the tournament champion.

That Cup will live in the HS that wins the tournament until next year's tournament.

After the game on Sunday, the players will present the family with a check for ALL proceeds generated by these events. There is no 'overhead", all needed items (Ice, Refs, trophies etc) are being donated so 100% of every dollar will go to the Quetta family.

Hockey, and the world, will work their ass off to help one of their own because that just how the hockey world works.

Thank you in advance for whatever you can donate to this cause.
