ALA 100 Miles 4 Cancer

100 MILES CLOSER TO A CURE - ALA CANCER RESEARCH CHALLENGE

**100% of money raised will go directly to fund ALA Cancer Research scholarships**

The American Legion Auxiliary Department of Texas Cancer Research Program is a Texas-based one of a kind program that provides scholarships for students studying cancer research at the University Of Texas Graduate School Of Biomedical Science at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. Since 1950, the ALA has been helping in this vital endeavor to find a cure and has donated several million dollars to this program.

Cancer has touched every one of us in some form, through a family member, a friend, a neighbor or maybe yourself. It has no age limit and does not discriminate in any way, it affects us all. The only way we can fight this disease is through research and dedicated researchers and that takes money.

To raise awareness & funds for this program we will ride 100 miles around White Rock Lake Park in Dallas, TX on May 13, 2023.

"I'm riding in honor of Jennifer, Nancy, Carol, Stephen & Hank" - Jeff Perkins, Past State Commander 20/21 American Legion Dept of Texas
