Help Alexis Rebuild After a Month of Loss
Hello friends,
If you’re reading this, then you likely already know and love Alexis. She is one of those rare souls who radiates kindness, intelligence, and resilience. She has always been there for her friends and community — showing up with an open heart even when life wasn’t easy.
I recently visited her in Baltimore and learned a great deal....
Over the past month, Alexis has faced a storm of challenges that would shake anyone to their core.
- She was unlawfully evicted from her home, leaving her without the security and stability every person deserves.
- In the process, some of her most valuable possessions were stolen (collected antiques) — items that held not only financial worth, but also deep sentimental meaning.
- Soon after, her car was totaled, cutting off her independence and making even the simplest tasks — like getting to class or buying groceries — a struggle.
- And perhaps most painfully, she has faced social rejection and targeting in her community simply for being Jewish. The weight of that isolation has been crushing.
Any one of these would be overwhelming. To endure them all within weeks is unimaginable.
Through it all, Alexis has kept fighting. She is in graduate school, balancing her studies with a part-time job at her university just to make ends meet. She shows up for her work, her education, and her friends — but the truth is, the ground has been pulled out from under her.
Like many of us, Alexis has a hard time asking for help. That’s why I am writing this on her behalf. Every dollar raised will go directly to Alexis so she can get back on her feet — covering basic needs, rebuilding what was lost, and creating some stability in the middle of so much chaos.
By contributing, you are not just helping Alexis financially. You are giving her a chance to breathe, to heal, and to remember that she is not alone. Every donation, big or small, is a reminder that compassion is stronger than cruelty, that community can heal where injustice has wounded.
Please give what you can, and if you aren’t able to donate, consider sharing this with others who might.
Together, we can help Alexis find her footing again. She deserves stability, dignity, and the reminder that love and support are still out there for her.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for caring.
You can care give to many things...but I find giving to the people who are in your community is worth every dollar.
