Hi Friends!

Our friend and neighbor, Alissa, recently got to live through a real life reboot of Waterworld when a sewer drain in her laundry room backed up and flooded her home. As you can imagine, this was not the waterfront property she was hoping for.

Thanks to poor guidance from her insurance agent, she was not covered for this specific type of water damage. To make matters worse, the remediation company took advantage of a stressful situation and pressured her into signing paperwork without giving her a quote or properly explaining what would be required and for how long.

Said remediation company has since sent her the initial bill for their "services" to the tune of $23,000! She has managed to negotiate that bill down to $15,000 but that is still a scary number to be looking at, especially after being laid off from her job. This doesn't include renovation from the water damage or loss of personal property.

Enter this fundraiser. In an effort to help her in every way we can, we've set up this fundraiser to hopefully raise some money toward that remediation bill. Alissa is a kind person who pet sits for many of her neighbors and friends, and could use a helping hand right now.
