On the evening of September 26, I was the victim of an armed carjacking. I’m grateful to be alive, but the financial aftermath is already very overwhelming. My car was recovered the evening of September 27 after the suspects led police on a pursuit. It was totaled, and they had completely stripped the interior of its electrical components.
After reviewing my insurance claim, I was notified that because I only had liability insurance, I will not receive any payout for the loss of my vehicle. I’m currently low-income, and my car was my primary means of making an income.
I’m asking for help with:
• Replacing my car with a reliable used vehicle so I can get back to work
• Keeping up with bills and basic expenses while I’m without transportation and income
