Amelia has been accepted to Rome City International with an athletic scholarship for volleyball!

You may have seen our trip photos in January. We went on a trip to Italy to see if she liked it there and if she thought she could live there for school.

She said, "YES!"

She practiced with the team and talked to the Dean of Students. We took a tour of the school. She fell in love with Italy. We are incredibly lucky that RCI is accredited through Jacksonville University so all of her credits and her degree will be accreditable within the United States. Amelia will also maintain all 4 years of NCAA eligibility if she decides to continue her education and wants to play when she returns from Europe. This also means she can receive financial aid as well as use the Florida Bright Futures scholarship to attend. However, those do not cover the fees we need to pay get to all of her legal documents ready for submission. We have a tight schedule. We are trying to raise the cost of the fees by their due date at the end of February. (I told you it was a tight deadline.) Unfortunately, due to all the other senior year things (Prom, Yearbook, Cap and Gown, Class Ring, etc.) we were already extended to our limit once she was offered the position in Rome.

Anything you can give is amazing. I know we're all struggling right now in this economy. We are so grateful for our community of family and friends.
