Angelie Colston is a Special Education teacher in Fort Worth ISD at Ridglea Hills Elementary school. She proudly and passionately uses her time, effort & energy to serve her students and their families…which she has done for the past 30+ years. She radiates joy and has the most calming presence. She is a treasured and beloved member of the Ridglea Hills community.

On January 7, 2026, Angelie was involved in a car accident. Thankfully, she and the others involved were not seriously injured. However, while recovering from the accident, other medical concerns were revealed. Angelie began to receive care from specialists as a part of her treatment plan. As her medical care teams worked to pinpoint the issues, things rapidly moved from bad to worse. On Jan. 21st Angelie was rushed by ambulance from her home to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital due to a seizure where she remained under constant care for the next week. Unfortunately during her hospital stay, Angelie's care team was unable to get to the root of the acute medical issues causing her distorted vision issues and neurological abnormalities, among other concerns. We are happy, relieved & thankful to report that Angelie is currently convalescing from home and is expected to recover over a period of unknown time. Our desire is to ease the financial burden that Angelie and her family are facing as she has been away from her job, students, families, and colleagues she loves for over a month now. The car accident totaled Angelie's car and the medical bills including an ambulance ride, 3 ER visits + one week long hospital stay, appointments with specialists, and prescriptions are coming in.
