As most of you are aware, our mother, Anita Churchwell, has been battling stage 4 cancer of the body and brain for over a year now. She is a fighter and has been fighting a strong battle, but it has taken a major toll on her. Due to this major illness, they have had 0 source of income and haven't had any income for over a year. Her husband Norman, has been by her side the entire journey therefore making it difficult to work and keep their income coming in. Unfortunately, they don't have medical insurance to cover the expensive costs of treatments and other medical expenses.

My brother and I along with friends and family were in the process of starting a benefit to help them financially when my brother was unfortunately involved in a major accident, which resulted in him losing his leg. This immediately stopped our efforts to do the benefit and has made it very difficult for us to continue the process at this time. Since this has taken place, a donation account has been opened at First State Bank of Leakesville in their names in addition to the fundraiser. We understand times are tough for everyone, but any donations made to this account would help them in a tremendous way.
