Annie-NO HOME

This was a difficult thing for me, to decide to open up my life to you all. In the day and age of Fakebook, where people digitally create the life they want you to see, I have decided to share what I am currently facing, with no filter. Raw and transparent. I was embarrassed at first and thought I could hide this emergency I am going through. But this was no time for that. Last Friday I had to leave where I was living with my mother in law, due to to a domestic violence situation. I had to put all of my belongings in storage, and leave with a backpack. As most of you know, I have not lived here in Illinois for very long, and I worked from home on our reseller business, so I haven't really had time to make new friends. Was too busy just trying to get by during this horrible time of Covid 19. As a result, I have felt very scared and very alone here in Illinois. Homelessness does not discriminate I now see. Throw every stereotype of Homelessness that you have out the window, because I am here to tell you most of those are incorrect. I had a small amount of money when I hit the street, about $600 but that has nearly dwindled to nothing of course after cabs and hotel rooms. I made it to about 9pm one evening outside but it started to rain and I was more than a little fearful of where I could sleep safely outside, so I rented a hotel. I worked from home, where I stored my inventory, and packaged and shipped our orders. Now I have no home to do that from. Which means no income right now. I am asking those that know me, please, if you can help me to get into a small apt or maybe rent a room somewhere. Whatever you can spare would be so appreciated. I have only been homeless for 4 days and I cannot let myself think about this being a permanent situation. I just cannot handle that mentally or emotionally. I literally have no family really here for support. This is an emergency for me. I appreciate you taking the time to read this whole mess that is my life right now. I am choosing to reach out because I cannot get lost to domestic violence or homelessness, there has to be a different way. Thank you, love annie
