Hi everybody!
As most of you know, I moved to Maryland in October, to try and broaden my horizons and start a new chapter in my life. Unfortunately on October 14th, my car was hit by a truck on the highway. Though I am not injured, my new car that I only had for about 7 months was totaled. My insurance company jerked me around for a whole month before telling me this news, as well as telling me that they will only cover about $9,000 of the $12,000 I owed on the car. There seems to be nothing I can do about this. I can not currently afford a down payment on a new car, and I need to figure out how to cover this gap as well, which is why I created this fundraiser. I need to have a car in order to work and be able to pay rent, as well as care for my cat. Those who know me know I am not one to ask for this kind of help, but these are desperate times for me. Truly anything would help.
