Our 1st-4th grade students have an incredible opportunity this spring to travel to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston for a full day of hands-on learning, exploration, and inspiration. This trip will allow them to walk through historic mission control, experience interactive exhibits, and see real spacecraft that have shaped human history. For many of our kids, this will be their first time stepping into a place where science, innovation, and discovery come alive.

On a personal note, I still vividly remember going to NASA myself when I was in elementary school. That trip left a lasting impression on me - sparking my curiosity, fueling my love for space and science, and giving me memories that I carry with me to this day. It's the kind of experience that sticks with you for life, and I have had this dream to take our Appleseed students to the Johnson Space Center for years now. I want our students to have the opportunity to dream big and see the possibilities their future could hold.

Because this is a one-day charter trip from Mesquite to Houston, the costs are significant. The largest expense is securing a charter bus with restroom facilities to safely transport all students, teachers, and chaperones. We also need to cover admission to the Space Center, meals for the day, and the opportunity to participate in enhanced VIP tours to make the experience as impactful as possible.

What Funds Will Cover

• Charter bus transportation for 22 students, 3 teachers, and chaperones.
• Student admission to Space Center Houston (including tram tours and exhibits).
• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all attending.
• Optional VIP tours to provide a deeper learning experience.
• Driver and trip expenses (tolls, tips, parking, etc.)

Our Goal

We are aiming to raise $4,000 to ensure that every student can participate without additional financial burden on families. Every donation goes directly towards making this once-in-a-lifetime experience possible for our students.

Thank you so much for your support! Make sure to sign up for updates so that you can see all the amazing ways the students are raising money - and hopefully hear about a successful NASA trip in the spring!
