Arlene's Fight 4 a Liver
As some of you may already know, my Mother, Arlene Madrid has been having a rough journey, medically. She has been undergoing several testing ultimately stating that she needs a liver transplant. She has been up and down with the decision to move forward for a while. The lingering thoughts of someone having to pass away so she can get to live really gets to her. Now, she is slowly moving past that stage because there is no other choice. She's been having to get her lungs drained every 2 weeks to a month and is now on oxygen. Because of this her Dr's have told her that they want to pursue her having an out of State liver transplant because the chances of her receiving it is sooner. She is officially on the transplant list and can be called any day or minute. So far we have been told that her insurance will cover an out of state transplant and she will need to be there for atleast 6 months. She will need care takers 24-7 for that time. The purpose of this Go Fund me is to make sure that she can get the best care and help needed so that she can come back to us fully healed and better with a new liver. These funds will be used for meals, fuel, travel, travel for caretakers and anything the insurance does not cover. A lot of us are planning on rotating because of the length of time in another state. My mom and her caretaker will be staying in a hotel room and some of us will be taking off of work with no compensation. There is huge amount of unknown and these funds will help out more then you can imagine. Our mom, grandma and sister is everything to us and we cannot see a world without her. If you find it in your hearts to help by donating, reposting, sharing or commenting we would greatly appreciate it with all our hearts.
Thank you to everyone in advance for stepping in when my mom needs us the most.
Her eldest daughter,
Jeanette
