Recently, we have discovered a new pathway to communication for Asher because of a wonderful new movie called SPELLERS. We had heard of it before, but the movie specifically interviews individuals who've been given the gift of FREEDOM through the ability to communicate. SPELLERS highlights the fact that many individuals with motor speech planning struggles are UNDERESTIMATED, and with help gaining the skills required to move and spell, there are truly no limits to what they can achieve. Lack of speech isn't an indication of cognitive deficits.
