Asking for your support

I am starting this fundraiser for a very dear friend of mine. She is a widowed senior citizen barely getting by on social security. One of the most humble genuine person I have ever known. She is always willing to help anyone in anyway that she can. I am truly lucky to have her in my life. The past few years it seems that she has just had a string of very bad luck. First she had two broken windows on her house so she decided this would be a good opportunity to just get all of her windows replaced as in window frame and what not. So she got a small loan to do so. She had someone come out and quote her and ended up going with this person. Well they came and replaced the windows but only the glass on the windows. To anyone else this sounds ridiculous and how could she have let this happen but what you have to understand that this woman came from a very sheltered background. She also got married at a young age and her husband took care of everything up until his passing in 2015. This is the first time she has ever been on her own. In a nut shell she was taken advantage of. So yes the two broken windows were fixed but that is all. Shortly after her bathroom had a leak in the wall. She was without water for a month trying to get it fixed. Well the water leak was so bad that the plumber said that it had spread under the bathtub and that she needs to have the bathtub removed because there was mold in the wall and he suspected it may be under there as well. This is not an option for her at this point. She could only have him fix the actual leak. So right now she is loving with a rather large hole in her bathroom wall that is just covered in plastic so she can still shower. I wish I was done there but I am so sad to say that I'm not. She had a leak in her kitchen ceiling that was about 2ft x 3ft. They thought it was a leaky roof so through the insurance they replaced her roof and then she paid someone to patch the ceiling in the kitchen. Well fast forward and the leak and hole is back. It turns out it is from the swamp cooler. So needless to say none of this has been fixed. She is also having car troubles to top it off. It is hard to sit back and watch someone you care about go through all of this especially when you know you are barely getting by yourself. That's why I am here to ask for your help and support. I have been researching pricing and called a few places to try and figure out a price for her bathroom. They all tell me the same thing and that's they can give me a ballpark but they won't know for sure until they actually get in there and see it. The mold removal alone could cost anywhere from 2000 to 5000 they said depending on how bad it is. That is just for the actual mold removal and nothing else. There is also a possibility of mold on the ceiling. I am hoping to raise 16000 to cover everything and take this burden off of her shoulders. Please anything will help. I fear for my friend living in these conditions. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Know that from the bottom of my heart your help is greatly appreciated. God bless you and thank you again!!!
