My cat Athena needs dental care( dental cleaning, and possibly teeth removal). I’ve been saving up to take her in to get dental work done, but I’m a college student and I’m barely getting by as is. I’ve been able to save up $400, but due to how bad her tartar buildup is she’ll mostly likely need a few teeth removed. I’ve been trying to get her a dental consultation( trying again on Monday the 21st of September), it’s difficult as this is the best low-cost veterinary near me and they fill up quickly. Until then I won’t know the exact amount. As soon as I find out I’ll update this post!

I’ve tried setting up an appointment for her the last week by calling them as soon as they open, but I haven’t been successful so far. I’ve previously tried brushing her teeth, giving her treats meant to clean her teeth, but nothing has helped.

I’ve noticed her teeth are hurting her even more as of lately as she drools a lot, sticks her tongue out( new behavior), struggles to eat( switched her to a purely wet food diet). And she does not like anyone petting her near her mouth which is also new as she’s the most cuddly cat! I hate to see her in pain and I’m trying to get her help, she’s my best friend and I wish nothing but the best for her.
