My name is Michaela Singer. I am a sophomore college student and college athlete. Since I was in grade school, I have always had a passion for sports. As a young girl I even laced up my cleats and played baseball with the boys! I eventually fell in love with two sports, Basketball and Field Hockey. I have spent my teenage years working hard at both sports and have found some success in them, especially Field Hockey. During my senior year of High School, I set a new school record for career goals in Field Hockey and I was a freshman starter on my college team and continue as a starter now in my sophomore year.

 

I come from a small town in Pennsylvania. My Mom and Dad have supported me in my athletics since grade school and are always there to help. I can remember my Dad videotaping my games or Skyping them live to my Mom who was serving in Iraq as a member of the US Army. My Dad also stepped in to coach in baseball and softball and other sports as well. I am very blessed to have had such a supporting cast around me my entire life.

Because of my hard work and dedication, I was offered an opportunity to embark on an amazing journey. I was offered the chance to play field hockey in Australia. This would be an amazing opportunity for me. I would get to play field hockey alongside some great players from around the USA and from Australia. Not only would this trip enrich my playing skills, but I would also be educated with cultural knowledge that I can use throughout the rest of my life.

 

While this is an incredible opportunity for me to advance my skills, as well as grow as an individual, it is not fully funded. I am reaching out to anyone who would consider helping me take advantage of this amazing opportunity. As much as my parents have done for me my entire life, they are just not able to take on the financial requirement of this trip, thus the reason for this page.

The money raised through this campaign will be used to pay the expenses for this 14-day trip.
